11/16/10 Afternoon Show Segments

Fast Facts for Tuesday:
  • Lady Gaga will soon have her own fragrance with help from the folks at Coty. They're the same ones who gave a scent to Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion and Kylie Minogue.
  • Washington state is the latest to ban those alcoholic energy drinks.
  • The rumor is that Pink is pregnant.
  • Sad news: Little Eddie Munster from the old 60's TV sitcom, "The Munsters” who is now 57 and has checked into rehab in New Jersey because of "a lifetime of substance abuse."
  • 84-year-old Dick Van Dyke says that a couple of years ago, he fell asleep on a surfboard, drifted out to sea and was rescued by a pod of porpoises. Yeah, me, too.
Afternoon Oddball:
I have no sympathy for this woman! Angela Boyd, 38, of Indiana staged a fake funeral for her own child. The woman arranged church services for her 15-year-old daughter, who she claimed was raped and killed by her father in Iowa. She bought an urn and a donation box, and told her daughter's dramatic story as the congregation wept. Unable to go along with her lies, Boyd's brother stood up and revealed to the congregation that the teenage girl was actually alive and well and staying with family in Iowa. Boyd ran out of the church without collecting the urn or the box and has not been seen since. Police say the woman will most likely face charges of attempted theft. I’m sorry but that’s just sick and wrong.
